Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) keeps airplane in safe working condition by servicing engines, engine components, and airframe components. Modifies and replaces parts such as instruments, wiring, and tires. Being an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) identifies hazardous aircraft conditions and determines when aircraft should not be flown. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) may require certification from FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. We are a busy Repossession and Transport company looking for a full or part-time mechanic to assist with keeping our fleet moving. Our shop is equipped with all equipment to adequately maintain a growing fleet of vehicles.
Description: Mechanic is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles in our fleet
Qualifications:
* Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
* Reliable, team player
* Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
* Able to problem solve and determine solutions to issues as they arise
* Preferred knowledge of gas and diesel engines
* Preferred knowledge on use of tire and balance machines
* Preferred knowledge of current technology and able to use diagnostic equipment
* Preferred knowledge of Ford vehicles
* Pass a background check and drug screen
Duties include:
* Routine inspection and maintenance on all company vehicles which include but are not limited to oil changes, brakes, tires etc
* Investigating issues and diagnose problems as notated by drivers
* Research parts for best pricing
* Keep an accurate log of all work performed per vehicle using company chosen program
* Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
* Adhere to company safety policies
Hours:
Monday-Friday 9a-5p
Pay is bi-weekly
