Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) keeps airplane in safe working condition by servicing engines, engine components, and airframe components. Modifies and replaces parts such as instruments, wiring, and tires. Being an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) identifies hazardous aircraft conditions and determines when aircraft should not be flown. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) may require certification from FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.     • Performs all airframe, power plant and propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements
    • Perform Major and Minor alterations and repairs
    • Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting
    • Operates all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
    • Maintain awareness of hourly goals for tasks assigned
    • Presents a clean and neat work area to our customers
    • Performs other duties as may be required

    Requirements :

    • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
    • High School Graduate or equivalent required
    • Two year degree in aviation discipline preferred
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Naturalized U.S. Citizen
    • Must pass an DOT / FAA Pre-employment Drug Screen
    • Must clear a 10 year background check with no felonies
