Being an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) identifies hazardous aircraft conditions and determines when aircraft should not be flown. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) may require certification from FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. POSITION SUMMARY
The Mature Jet Engine Mechanic will repair and performs removal/installation, cleaning, inspection, repair as well as replace Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, company directives and other approved data.
