Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) keeps airplane in safe working condition by servicing engines, engine components, and airframe components. Modifies and replaces parts such as instruments, wiring, and tires. Being an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) identifies hazardous aircraft conditions and determines when aircraft should not be flown. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) may require certification from FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an Aircraft Mechanic (Jet) typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. FULL TIME - 40hrs per week
Line service technicians marshals arriving and departing airplanes in a smoke free facility, meet and great the passengers and crew.
Fuels aircraft in accordance with aircrew's specifications. Complete various paperwork which also includes checking out a customer's fuel purchase.
Various light duty tasks: cleaning hangers, light mowing , and cleaning facilities. Individual MUST PASS TSA/FBI background check and drug screening.
CDL license is NOT required to operate fuel trucks. Experience is preferred; but will train the right individual.
