Aircraft Mechanic (Non-Jet) jobs in Nashville, TN

Strategic Support Solutions is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics to fill aircraft maintenance positions in Smyrna, TN.   

Primary Duties:    

• Inspect parts, systems, and airframe as part of routine scheduled maintenance       
• Perform diagnostic tests to determine necessary repairs       
• Repair defective or malfunctioning aircraft parts and systems       
• Troubleshoot and diagnose potential repairs outside of regularly scheduled maintenance             

Minimum Experience & Education  

The ideal candidate:             

• Must have an Airframe and Powerplant license with a minimum of 10 years of related experience on engines.
• Must have PT6 factory training and be able to produce training certificate.
• Williams and JT 15 schools are a plus
• Must be able to rig and do hot sections with the engine on the wing
• Must be able to perform assigned tasks in compliance with all applicable FAA regulations and the Inspections Procedures Manual with little or no direct supervision       
• Must have the minimum required tools to perform assigned work       
• Must be able to pass a basic aircraft maintenance knowledge test       
• Must be able to pass a basic practical test   
• Must have High School degree or equivalent required.

• This position is covered under Federal Aviation Regulations in regard to unescorted access to Security Identification Display Areas.  Applicants are subject to employment verification and, possibly, an FBI criminal history records check.
