Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operates Blast Chamber, Paint Booth and Drying Oven. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
* Fully analyzes all required blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches to apply desired finish to product or part. Can detect errors and correct through proper departmental channels.
