Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, professional and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other finishes to various surfaces. Must be able to run a rig and work independently in vacant apartments. This is a full time position. Must be dependable and have own tools and be willing to travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, caulking, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Mix, match, and apply paint or other finishes according to specifications
- Use brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to apply paint or other finishes
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect adjacent areas, remove fixtures and covers as needed
- Calculate the amount of materials needed for each project
- Repair, patch, texture walls or surfaces prior to painting
-Clean and maintain all tools and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Painter
- Solid knowledge of painting techniques and materials
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
-Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects standing for long periods of time.
