Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. - Prepare walls and stucco for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, power washing with or without detergent, etc.

- Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure completion of each project in an efficient, timely manner
- Match paint samples for touch-ups and other projects
- Removing fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers
- Taping off areas as needed
- Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete
