Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Essential Functions Statement(s)
Education/Experience: Experience in both commercial and residential painting working with a variety of sprayers and application equipment required. Must possess a proficient knowledge of various types of paints and their applications.
Other Requirements: Position requires ability to read, write, and speak English. Must have ability to operate and use equipment such as Genie lifts, scissors lifts, etc. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, etc. Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
