Job Description: As a Small Engine Service Technician/Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of outdoor power equipment, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, generators, and trimmers. Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with small engines and outdoor power equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
· Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
· Test equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
· Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
· Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance.
· Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and productive environment.
· Assist with inventory management by tracking parts and supplies as needed.
· Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technology advancements, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a small engine technician/mechanic is required (at least 5 years experience preferred).
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing small engines and outdoor power equipment.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
