Airport Engineer plans, designs and lays out airports and landing fields. Oversees the construction work involved in leveling fields, laying out and surfacing runways. Being an Airport Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Airport Engineer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.     What you will be doing

    • Use your talent for overseeing people, and getting things done on time and under budget, ensuring regular preventive action for the protection and comfort of guests, and safety and security of the asset and associates.  
    • Create an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. Oversee a diverse team of skilled engineers by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment life cycle.
    • Schedule and monitor service requests for optimal guest experience.
    • Keep a pulse on purchase requests, expenses and utility consumption, in order to meet or exceed budget goals.
    • Help with division administration, ensuring documentation is maintained for smooth operations and liability abatement.

    Requirements

    This position requires carrying a radio while on duty. You must have effective communication skills and a professional manner. This position requires complete mobility and the ability to lift at least 40 pounds

    Education & Experience

    A high school diploma with special instruction in building maintenance and construction, having four to five years building experience in building maintenance or related industry, is required. The ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work is expected. Must be available days, nights and weekends
