Being an Airport Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Airport Engineer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position includes everything from preventative maintenance of vehicles and grounds maintenance equipment to repairs and rebuilding of these and other industrial equipment.
