Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni and Community Engagement – Boca Raton, FL. The Assistant Director will serve as the lead for specific programs hosted by Alumni and those with a community component. They will work to support, track, and measure Florida Atlantic Alumni and Community Engagement initiatives and engagement. The Assistant Director will collaborate with the Alumni Association Board and support the priorities of the team. Summary of Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the team on alumni opportunities regionally. Identify where target populations are and work with key alumni and community partnerships to maximize engagement in those areas. Specifically oversee segmented outreach that includes and is not limited to events, social interactions, and other engagement tracking. Sponsorship coordination and support in partnership with the team. Alumni and Community Engagement will engage in many sponsorships and partnerships with the community. The assistant direction will work to enhance and execute those relationships, ensuring reciprocity and strength in those important collaborations. Oversee alumni information update initiatives with the team, along with notable alumni engagement and partnerships across the community. Plan, manage, and assist in oversight of alumni and community engagement initiatives and alumni events. Those include but are not limited to: Segmented experiences and events that are interest- or affinity-based. Community Engagement - Determine opportunities for meaningful and strategic engagement with key segments of the local and regional community. Networks – Collaborate with alumni relations colleagues for network event planning, promotion and same-day management. Homecoming and Family Weekend collaborations, including the Talon Leadership Awards, but not limited to this one program. Spring programming and community partnerships for activities. Assessment & research: Work with Advancement Services and communications teams to create and produce reports that track attendance and participation rates related to the above-mentioned events and experiences. Identify key stakeholders related to responsibilities to receive reports and align with unit metrics, goals, and KPIs. Use CASE and other resources to investigate the most effective practices for alumni and community engagement Other job-related duties as assigned or determined as aligning with the purpose of the unit.
