Join our team as the Human Resource Consultant Assistant 2 at our Washington Veterans Home in beautiful Port Orchard, Washington!
Please note: The expected work hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Schedule may be adjusted to complete special projects, manage workload peaks, and provide office coverage. Occasional travel required for off-site meetings, trainings, and job fairs.
- This position has been posted within the assigned pay range through Step L. Step M has not been published as this is considered the longevity step, in alignment with state HR compensation rules.
Position(s) at this location will also receive 5% Premium Pay for facilities open twenty four hours per day. Employees must physically work at the facility 3 days per workweek to qualify. The 5% Premium Pay is in effect until June 29th, 2025.

These locations provide Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care to honorably discharged Veterans, including, in some instances, their spouses, widows, or Gold Star Families.
As the Human Resource Consultant Assistant 2, you will perform a variety of paraprofessional and technical duties in support of the Washington Veterans Home Human Resources Office and the employees at the Washington Veterans Home. Your role will ensure the proper maintenance of HR filing systems, process employee position changes and input, assist with the recruitment process, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders related to HR matters.

Must comply with the health screening required by undergoing a tuberculosis skin test at hire and then thereafter annually.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Positions requiring travel must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and must be insured if driving a privately owned vehicle on state business.
