Position Title: Alumni Affairs: Director, Clubs & Chapters

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the AVP of Alumni Engagement and CEO of the Alumni Association, the Director of Clubs and Chapters oversees the development, planning, support, training, and evaluation of a comprehensive Clubs and Chapters program offering alumni and friends the opportunity to support the alumni association and university’s mission and strategic priorities. The Director is responsible for Club and Chapter data management, reporting, leadership training, adherence to established policies and procedures, and a comprehensive engagement budget for engagement opportunities amplifying the alumni and university’s message and goals. In addition, the incumbent is expected to reinforce collaborative relationships with other university partners.
Responsibilities
Manage Club and
Chapter strategy, including communications, engagement, data, training,
recruitment, and recognition. Provide leadership and serve in a critical
leadership role for the Alumni Association; work collaboratively within the
Association on a Regional Engagement strategy; and develop best practices in
Clubs and Chapters.
Oversee Club
financials and ensure proper state, federal and university policy adherence;
prepare and execute a budget to support engagement, scholarships, and philanthropy
activities; work with Annual Giving and Membership on growth strategies;
develop and maintain relationships with Admissions and Career Center; and serve
as liaison to assigned Alumni Council and Board Committees and keep committees
informed on opportunities to engage with Clubs and Club leaders.
Provide reports and
leverage data to inform decisions of department and AA leadership; keep
volunteers informed on data to make decisions; and develop and maintain a process
for data to enter CRM from Club and Chapter activity.
Oversee targeted Club and
Chapter communications in line with overall Association brand, mission, and
vision; develop and maintain communication strategy through social media, and newsletter
communication; and serve as point person to leaders, ensuring needs are met.
Travel throughout the
year; maintain contact with other Campus Partners to leverage the full scope of
travel and engagement priorities; and support other Alumni team members, significantly
where synergies overlap to maximize outreach.
Lead and/or support special
projects such as reunions, homecoming, spring gala, and other duties as
assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience in a related advancement services field;
-High school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to ten years may be substituted for the degree requirement (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of UL Lafayette or other
higher education institution.
-Knowledge of Volunteer Management.
-Experience preparing and monitoring budget information.
-A self-starter, comfortable working
independently.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Ability to prioritize, organize and
perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a
detail-oriented environment.
-Ability to travel as needed.
-Valid Driver’s License or the ability to obtain before hire.
-Experience with Microsoft Office
products suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) or equivalent software.
