    Being Age 55 or Older is Good for The Environment! The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural support for individuals aged 55 and over to support the Department of Agriculture?

    s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions).

    This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff who are doing important work every day.

    Benefits : Paid Health Insurance Premium for positions budgeted at 60 hours per pay period, Accrued Vacation and Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available for positions budgeted at 35 hours per pay period.

    Qualifications :

    Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Ppublic affairs and NRCS. OR BA / BS Degree in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related field of study.

    • Farm Bill Program Knowledge; Effective skills in presentations; Effective communications; Knowledge and experience in developing Strategic Communication plans.
    • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel

    Duties :

    Enrollee will assist the state with communications strategies and programs that engage public understanding and participation in agency programs and address emerging natural resource and conservation issues.

    Other duties include assisting with developing outreach materials for recruitment events and assisting with Civil Rights.

    The position is in Dover (NH) State Office and work can be performed remotely.

    • Plans and implements public affairs and outreach campaigns related to the State Conservationist goals and outreach plan. 30%
    • Formulates and recommends communications approaches that enhance the state's capability to implement strategic approaches to address issues of key conservation importance. 30%
    • Works with the state public affairs specialist and outreach coordinator to prepare news releases, slide shows, videodocumentaries, still photography, publications, fact sheets, newsletters, presentationgraphics, and desktop publishing related to Farm Bill and conservation Implementation. 30%
    • Assists in development of training materials. 10%

    Other :

    • Annual information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training.
    • Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
