Reports to: Chief Development Officer

Full-Time (30 hours per week) 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Alumni Relations Coordinator will be responsible for executing the School’s alumni relations strategy and leading several key initiatives. Reporting to both the Chief Development Officer this is a highly collaborative position, requiring close working relationships with the Head of School, advancement colleagues, and the academic directors and departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in an intellectually challenging, collegial environment. Politically savvy, integrity, discretion and pragmatic consensus building skills required; mature judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information required. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and a highly professional image with the ability to interact with faculty, staff, donors and volunteers at all levels required. Experience with all relevant social media communications and marketing vehicles is necessary. Ability to organize and establish objectives and priorities in a complex organizational environment required. Travel will be required. This position requires someone with a strong commitment to and passion for the mission of Mount Paran Christian School. 

Physical Requirements:

Lifting and transporting boxes not exceeding 20 pounds; ability to stand for long periods of time while instructing; excellent hearing abilities; ability to transport students from one area of a building/campus to another

• Ministering to alumni compassionately and sincerely so they may continue to grow in their faith.
• Accepting the work at Mount Paran Christian School as a personal calling and identify themselves as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ 
• Oversee and maintain the personal contact information of all CSN alumni in the database
• Oversee the establishment of a formal chapter/network/association involving CSN Alumni 
• Develop and maintain a wide variety of ways to communicate with all alumni
  • Oversee alumni internet based communications
  • Alumni portal
  • Social Media
• Oversee an annual alumni reception at MPCS
• Create a reunion program, including, but not limited to
  • Homecoming
  • Class/Decade Reunions
  • Recent alumni
  • Special alumni groups
    • Lifers
    • 8th grade graduates
    • Those who left MPCS due to relocation
• Develop and implement a program to educate current students about alumni relations
• Develop a strategy and plan for alumni gatherings in key geographical locations
• Develop a strategy to broaden the reach of this office to include parents of alumni, friends, grandparents and others as      members of the MPCS community.
• Produce information about alumni for school publications
• Assist in taking photographs at all alumni events for use in publications and mailings
• Develop and maintain a wide variety of ways to communicate with all alumni via electronic, social and print media
• Any other duties as assigned
