Cooley Law School, with locations in Michigan and Florida, seeks an Administrative Assistant in the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office. This position will be located at the Lansing, Michigan campus.
The Administrative Assistant for Advancement and Alumni Relations provides operational and project implementation assistance for the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office. The individual in this position is responsible for aspects of the Law School’s communication and interactions with alumni and donors. The position reports to the Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations.
Job duties include general office administration; oversight of alumni and donor records in the Law School’s management system/database; receiving and processing gifts, pledges, and requests from alumni, and maintenance of database updates; prepare
data reports; assist with scheduling, planning, and logistics for alumni and constituent related meetings and events; and, assists in the upkeep of the alumni website and alumni portal; and support web and social media communications.
Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred; excellent computer skills including Word and Excel, familiarity with video conference platforms; experience
with other database software; effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; accuracy and attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information; good time management and ability to multitask; ability to interact positively with individuals
