Alumni Relations and Advancement Intern
Chadwick School Alumni Relations and Advancement Internship
The Alumni Relations Intern, reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, will play a key role in supporting diverse aspects of alumni engagement at Chadwick School. Responsibilities include assisting with communication and alumni relations tasks, contributing to the preparation of various alumni events such as reunions, Chadwick Professional networking events, regional gatherings, and other engagement opportunities. Additionally, the intern will collaborate with the Director of Alumni Relations to enhance the effectiveness of the Class Ambassador and reunion captain programs. The role offers flexible hours to accommodate individual schedules, with an ideal commitment of 20 hours per week to support both the Alumni Relations and Advancement offices.

Responsibilities may include the following:
- Senior Alumni Inauguration Dinner Slideshow/Video:
- Collaborate on creating an engaging slideshow/video for the June 5 program, highlighting the class of 2024. This involves sifting through archival materials to gather photos for an approximately 8-minute presentation.
- College Letter Program Management:
- Oversee the College Letter program, ensuring seamless matching between graduating seniors and alumni based on their college/university affiliations.
- Social Media Marketing:
- Contribute to the development and execution of a comprehensive social media marketing plan for alumni profiles across various channels, including LinkedIn and other campus/alumni news platforms.
- Maintain a consistent presence on the Chadwick Alumni Instagram Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.
- Class Ambassador Recruitment and Engagement:
- Support the implementation of strategies to recruit and engage Class Ambassadors, fostering strong connections within the alumni community.
- Class Notes Compilation:
- Compile and prepare Class Notes for e-communications, curating content that resonates with the alumni audience.
- Alumni Board Task Force Support:
- Collaborate with task force groups under the Alumni Board, providing assistance and contributing to various initiatives.
- Alumni Partnership Initiatives:
- Develop and implement initiatives aimed at strengthening the partnership between Chadwick School and Chadwick International alumni.
- Chadwick Annual Fund Office Support:
- Assist the Chadwick Annual Fund office with stewardship projects for alumni donors, actively participating in creating innovative ways to engage young alumni donors.
- General Support and Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing flexibly to the evolving needs of the Alumni Relations and Advancement offices.
Education, experience and skill requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word.
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop and/or InDesign is a plus.
- Extraordinary attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Compensation: $17.30
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Required to lift and carry up to a maximum of 15 lbs., in a correct manner consistent with the appropriate training provided by the School.
- Occasionally required to use hand to handle or feel objects, touch and use tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp, talk, hear, and walk during the course of employment.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
- May use telephone, computer, copier, and other office equipment in the course of a day.
- Required to sit while operating word processing equipment for approximately 6-8 hours daily, repetitive motion for typing and other keystroke needs.
