Salary
Salary Range: $42,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours per Week
Exempt: 40 hours a week

Essential Functions
The UTSA Office of Alumni Programs seeks a highly-organized, collaborative, and solution-oriented individual to serve as an Alumni Engagement Officer.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Initiates, plans, develops, schedules, and manages on and off-site, virtual and in person engagement and fundraising events to include coordination of logistical and operational needs, budget management, programming, marketing and communications development.
- Manages and coordinates alumni volunteer engagement for organizational, university and community programming
- Collects, records and tracks event and volunteer program datapoints identified for alumni engagement metrics
- Coordinates financial transactions, including budget tracking, invoicing and billing submissions for events and volunteer programming
- Oversight and management of programming and event equipment and inventory
- Acts as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate event and programming needs.
- Supervises Events Coordinator position; provide leadership, training, and ongoing coaching/feedback.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and two years of experience in external relations, alumni engagement, development or related area.
Additional education/experience may substitute for experience/education on a one for one basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of individual alumni needs and perceptions.
- Understanding of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship process.
- Use of computer, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment.
- Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, occasionally, such as for setup and takedown for events, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in events management.
- Similar experience in higher education or non-profit atmosphere.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge.
Working Conditions
This position will be primarily located:
Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
Physical Demands
May exert up to 40lbs of force, occasionally, such as for setup and takedown of events
