Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Job Summary:
A new multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center opening in Toms River, New Jersey is searching for a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to be the Clinical Director of Nursing. The Center offers a health benefit package, which includes health, vision and dental insurance, competitive salaries and a generous paid time off plan. The Clinical Director will be responsible for the clinical care and services offered within the Center.
The Clinical Director will work with the Medical Director to build a team of clinical and support staff. Directing nursing care within prevailing national, state and regulatory standards. The Clinical Director will work with the Administrator to ensure a pleasant and safe work environment for all team members. The Clinical Director in collaboration with the Administrator and Medical Director will have responsibility to maintain survey readiness, infection control, quality assessment and performance improvement activities, and overall staff engagement, education and satisfaction.
The Clinical Director position is an opportunity for an experienced operating room manager to move into the ambulatory surgical environment.
Toms River West Ambulatory Surgery Center will open in early summer of 2024 with new and modern technology to assist with the day-to-day operations. The surgery center is partially owned by the RWJBH, Community Medical Center and local surgeons.
CNOR certification is preferred.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager in an operating room setting
- In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong understanding of the required regulatory standards
- Ability to develop and implement education andcompetency training for clinical staff
- Proficient in documentation review and adherence to Medicare and HIPPA guidelines
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with staff, physicians and other care providers
