Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Job Summary: As the Director of Emergency Services, you'll oversee operations to ensure high-quality patient care. Lead service development, personnel management, and resource allocation to deliver excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and solve real/potential problems affecting service
- Participate in hospital committees, providing ongoing communication
- Advance patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department
- Coach and mentor subordinates, ensuring individual development
- Enforce standards of emergency department care and ensure compliance
- Develop, implement, and evaluate ongoing emergency services program
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards
- Ensure department's operational excellence and quality services delivery
- Support recruitment process to secure staffing talent
Qualifications:
- 🎓 Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred
- 💼 3 years of experience in emergency services and leadership role
- 📝 Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in Florida
- 🏥 ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and BLS certifications required
