Ambulatory Services Director jobs in New York, NY

Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Duties:

    • Responsible for all open wounds in the facility- including cleaning and dressing
    • Responsible for completing admission paperwork
    • Providing advice & support to the Residents and their families
    • Monitoring Residents and administering medication and treatments
    • Documenting Resident care services by charting in Resident & dept. records
    • Protecting Residents & staff by adhering to infection-control policies & protocols
    • Resolving Resident problems & needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
    • Assuring quality of care by adhering to Facility philosophies & standards of care
    • Maintaining Resident confidence by keeping information confidential
    • Tracking of infection control
    • Monitoring and reporting, including monthly reports

    Requirements:

    • Current NYS State NP/PA License
    • Long-Term Care Experience Preferred
    • Must be wound and ostomy certified
    • Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Friendly and a team worker

    LOCATION:

    Brooklyn, NY

    COMPENSATION:

    • $120,000 - $150,000
