Anesthesia Technician assists Anesthesiologist by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. Being an Anesthesia Technician washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel. Performs safety checks on anesthesia equipment and assists the Anesthesiologist as needed. Additionally, Anesthesia Technician may also be required to complete Anesthesia Technician trainee program. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Anesthesia Technician works under moderate supervision. PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Practice Administrator role is a member of our leadership team and works directly with the Director of Practice Management providing service to the Island Health Hospital in Anacortes, WA and Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA (home base). The Practice Administrator will work with Somnia’s executive management team as well as local hospital leadership. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are a must. Experience as a Practice Administrator is required for this position, preferably in a hospital setting.
PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS:
DEPARTMENT STANDARD: PERFORM DEPARTMENT DUTIES IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER
- RCM
o Follow standard chart batching and scanning process according to Somnia’s billing partner’s policies and procedures
o Complete or appropriately train support staff to thoroughly scrub charts for all the pertinent pieces of information including but not limited to:
o Billing coding /compliance: Establish and maintain quarterly audit review meeting with billing partner and VP of Patient Revenue and Corporate Compliance Office
- Operations
o Complete HIPAA Compliance Officer training
o Maintain up to date, complete and accurate monthly reporting - Hospital Account Review Report
o Clinician Support Tasks: Implement TLO for time keeping system, Fully integrate QGenda scheduling system, Ensure all clinicians utilize it to full functionality
o Credentialing and Enrollment Support: Be point person for collecting and distributing provider information for initial and re-credentialing process, On Boarding – leadon boarding process for assigned clinicians, Recruitment
- Quality
o Hospital QA Department relationship: Provide support to ensure a positive and supportive working relationship with the hospital quality department to include periodic visits and emails to ensure that we are meeting the goals and expectations of the hospital. Communicate any issues to Somnia’s Quality Department
o Clinical Audits: Facilitate and support improvements in conducting periodic clinical practice audits and maintaining accurate records/reporting.
