Responsibilities:

- Bathe, brush, and groom pets according to specific breed standards or client preferences

- Provide gentle and compassionate handling of pets during the bathing and grooming process

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and sanitizing grooming tools and equipment

- Assist with animal restraint when necessary to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer

- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and provide exceptional customer service

- Monitor pet health during the grooming process and report any concerns or abnormalities to the appropriate staff member

Requirements:

- Previous experience in pet care, such as pet sitting or working at an animal shelter, is preferred

- Knowledge of basic animal handling techniques and ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners

- Ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs or equipment, as necessary

- Familiarity with different breeds of dogs and their specific grooming requirements is a plus

- Experience or knowledge in veterinary care or dog training is beneficial but not required
