We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for dogs and a talent for grooming that enhances both the appearance and comfort of our furry clients. As a Dog Groomer at Hopewell Animal Hospital, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall health and happiness of the pets entrusted to our care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling according to client preferences and breed standards.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each dog during the grooming process, including handling with care and attentiveness to any special needs or health concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including proper sanitation of equipment and facilities to uphold hygiene standards.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide personalized recommendations for their dog's grooming needs.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to identify and address any health issues or abnormalities observed during grooming sessions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Dog Groomer, with proficiency in a variety of grooming techniques and styles.
• Strong knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming requirements.
• Certification from a reputable grooming school or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient approach to working with dogs of all temperaments.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Dedication to maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer service.
