We look forward to welcoming an experienced pet groomer to our hospital, who will lease their own grooming suite within our animal hospital. Our ideal candidate will be compassionate toward the pets in their care, and have experience grooming breeds of dogs with varying coats and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Daily Responsibilities
- Arrive on time to scheduled shifts
- Create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners
- Discuss expectations and desires for a pet’s groom with the client
- Shampoo and dry the pet’s coat
- Shape the pet’s coat with electric clippers, scissors, or other appropriate tool
- Maintain a clean environment
- Use medical software to invoice and keep a record of the pet
- Use electronic schedule to be knowledgeable about upcoming scheduled grooms
- Answer phones for all grooming calls
- Work with veterinary staff to ensure pet is medically cared for properly as needed
- Manage daily schedule to groom pets efficiently and send them home on time
- Maintain an upbeat attitude
- Manage anxious pets appropriately (stay calm, use fear-free methods, communicate with technicians when medical intervention may be necessary)
- Speak with client on exit, discuss groom and if expectations were met
- Communicate with management when grooming products are low or need to be ordered
- Ensure company policies are being followed at all times
- Other duties as needed
Pay: Commission, 1099 Independent Contractor
