Animal Groomer and Bather jobs in Rhode Island

Buffy's Bubbles is a unique dog grooming salon located in Warwick, RI that offers fear free one-on-one grooming appointments for our canine clients. This is currently a solo business operation that is looking for team members who want to grow with this business!

Work schedule is flexible: business operating hours are Monday through Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. We are closed Sundays and most federal holidays.

Prior PROFESSIONAL experience in pet care is required. Owning a dog or pet does not count as experience! The ideal candidate can be described as:

Reliable: able to come to work on time and consistent in quality and performance.

Patient: staying calm and collected when dealing with frustration or unexpected delays.

Empathetic: understanding how others feel and responding appropriately.

Independent: working with little to no direct supervision once sufficiently trained.

This job position pays based on experience and growth starting at $14/hour tips with little to no experience in dog grooming (trainee) and highly experienced between $15-$17/hour tips (assistant). Job Duties & Responsibilities

(trainee/bather level)

• Lifting/Team Lifting dogs 100 lbs
• Washing dogs from nose to toes
• Cleaning ears/ear plucking
• Thoroughly drying and brushing dogs
• Properly assist in restraining pets - AKA being their emotional support human
• Maintaining a clean shop and work environment

(Grooming assistant level)

• Nail trimming/dremeling
• Assisting with checking in & checking out clients
• Shaving paw pads & sanitary areas
• Assisting with scheduling and record keeping
• Updating groomer notes
• Face, feet and fanny trims

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
