The Dirty Dog Pet Services in Topeka, KS is looking for one Professional Pet Groomer to join our team. We are located on 3120 South Kansas Avenue. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, reliable, and open to learning new styles and methods to groom pets.

Job Description:

Use appropriate tools to ensure proper styling is done on pet. While we do offer an unpaid grooming apprenticeship, grooming experience is required for this position.

Job Duties:

• Help wash and dry pets according to Bather’s standards.

• Ensure all equipment and tools are kept clean and free of debris to prevent injury.

• Perform pet parents requested styling, including but not limited to:

o Brushing using appropriate tools for the animal’s coats.

o Shaving using the correct blade length and clipper.

o Scissoring to the appropriate length

• Go over any concerns with pet parents found during the grooming process, alerting them to any potential problems.

• Make sure is groomed to appropriate salon standards and inform pet parent of completed process.

• Ensure salon is free of hair and any potential slipping hazards throughout day, including after every pet.

• Clean up any urine or feces left from the pet.

• Report cards and before & after photos.
