Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet grooming apprentice to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to our furry clients. Duties: - Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs. Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process. - Assess the condition of pets' coats, skin, and overall health, and provide appropriate recommendations or referrals to veterinary professionals if necessary. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including equipment and tools. - Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences. - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from pet owners. - Monitor pets for any signs of distress or discomfort during the grooming process and take appropriate action. Skills: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Animal handling: Ability to safely handle animals of various sizes and temperaments. - Heavy lifting: Capability to lift and carry pets or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. - Kennel: Knowledge of kennel procedures and best practices for pet care. - Animal care: Understanding of basic animal care principles, including nutrition, hygiene, and health. - . - Pet grooming: Proficiency in various grooming techniques for different breeds of dogs and cats. - Dog handling: Ability to handle dogs with patience, kindness, and assertiveness when necessary. - Pet sitting: Knowledge of pet sitting procedures and ability to provide basic care for pets in the absence of their owners.
