Haven Humane Society is looking for an animal lover who likes working with their hands and is ready to help maintain and improve four buildings and eight acres of animal shelter property.
The Animal Care Tech/Maintenance position duties include building maintenance work such as repairing plumbing, light electrical work, changing light bulbs and air filters, pond maintenance, exterior grounds maintenance such as mowing, trail maintenance, keeping grounds and buildings clean, repairing equipment/fencing and other similar duties. Haven Humane has a working relationship with a weekly commercial gardener, electrician, HVAC, and fire suppression companies for major contracting work.
The morning starts with joining the kennel staff in cleaning and feeding the animals. Afternoons will be spent addressing any maintenance tasks.
Work schedule is Sunday 7-4, Monday through Thursday 8-5.
