Animal Technician jobs in New Brunswick, NJ

We're seeking a motivated veterinary technician who has a passion for working with animals and enjoys working with a caring and professional team. We are seeking a candidate that has hands on experience within a veterinary hospital for a minimum of 1 year and has learned the foundation of how a veterinary practice runs. We are looking for this new team member to be compassionate, goal-oriented and willing to learn and grow within our clinic.

Job Duties:
- Utilize veterinary experience to assist in animal handling and care
-Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with veterinarians to ensure proper animal care and treatment
- Utilize knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology in daily tasks
- Assist in X-Ray procedures and other diagnostic tests
- Utilize premium skills such as blood drawing, IV Cather placements & interpreting cytology
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Continuously improve skills and stay updated on best practices in veterinary care

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
