Position: Certified Veterinary Technician

We are a privately owned, two location predominantly small animal practice looking to add to our highly successful team. We pride ourselves in managing a balanced work life schedule and having a great culture to work in. Our main clinic is in Ashton, IL and our sister clinic is in Kaneville, IL. We are currently looking to hire at the Kaneville location with rotating Saturdays in Ashton.

We are looking for a veterinary technician who has a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry. Someone who has a basic knowledge of pharmacology and sufficient mathematical skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses are a must. The candidate needs to be able to successfully restrain animals, complete clinical laboratory tests, use multiple radiology techniques, administer and monitor animals under anesthesia, assist in surgery, and perform dental procedures. Technicians are responsible for delivering compassionate nursing care, communicating effectively with staff and clients, and assisting with the care of boarding and hospitalized animals.

Position Type: Full or Part-Time

Hourly Wage: Depends on level of experience

Expected Hours of Work:

• 10 Hour Shifts Monday-Friday
• Rotating Weekend Shifts Required
• Rotating Holiday Shifts Required Education and Experience:
• 2 or 4 Year Degree in Veterinary Technology
• At Least 1 Year of Experience Preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to lift over 50lbs with assistance
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to kneel/crouch/crawl for short periods of time
