Northside Animal Hospital is lookin for a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team effective immediately! Experience preferred but all qualified assistants/technicians will be considered, including new graduates.

We are looking for responsible, reliable and organized individuals who are able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Veterinary Assistants/Technicians are responsible for all aspects of animal care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: restraining animals, assisting doctors with exams and surgeries, monitoring patients in hospital and recovering fom surgery, running lab work, administering medications to animals, cleaning kennels, feeding and watering animals, customer service, and client education.

Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes. You must be comfortable handling blood, urine, and feces for all lab purposes. Must be reliable, self-motivated, pay attention to detail, work well in a team setting as well as independently and take pride in your work. Reliable transportation is a must.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
