Animal Technician provides daily care for research animals of various species. Cleans and disinfects cages and equipment. Being an Animal Technician monitors the health and well being of the animals, maintains logs of animal diet, behavior, vital signs and other data. Follows standard operating procedures and all biosafety and animal welfare regulations. Additionally, Animal Technician may perform procedures to collect samples. May transport animals to and from laboratories. Requires a high school diploma. May require Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification from the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) or other certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Animal Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Summary:
We are seeking a Wildlife Removal Technician to join our team. As a Wildlife Removal Technician, you will be responsible for safely and effectively removing wildlife from residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of wildlife behavior and the ability to use various tools and equipment.
Minimum 2 years experience- We are looking for a self starter who loves this line of work and looking to grow within the company. We are a family-owned company that is well known in South Tampa and we thrive on customer service and word of mouth, so we need someone that fits this culture.
Qualifications:
Compensation: Base Salary Commission $23-$30hr
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls to remove wildlife from properties
- Inspect properties to identify entry points and areas of infestation
- Set up traps and safely capture wildlife
- Remove captured wildlife from properties
- Seal entry points to prevent future infestations
- Provide recommendations to property owners on preventing wildlife intrusion
- Maintain accurate records of services performed
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Experience working with wildlife or in a related field (e.g., pest control, lawn care)
- Knowledge of wildlife behavior and habits
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in wildlife removal
- Ability to operate farm machinery is a plus
- Sales experience is beneficial for upselling additional services
