1. Works as a member of the Institutional Advancement team to creatively achieve alumni giving participation rate goals and increasing gift levels.
2. Manages, in coordination with research staff and other division fundraising personnel, the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of top annual fund prospects. This involves working closely with staff of the Advancement Services, Planned Giving, and Prospect Research and Management offices in order to develop comprehensive strategies for each top annual fund prospect.
3. Works with staff in Advancement Services to keep constituent biographic (address, phone, e-mail, employment, name, and relative) information up to date.
4. Develops proficiency with Raiser’s Edge and other necessary database query tools.
- Manages Phonathon Program
- Responsible for the hiring, training, and managing student callers, including 1 supervisor.
- Attends Phonathon sessions
- Conducts training sessions for new and returning callers.
- Maintains nightly/monthly/yearly totals charts for semester- and year-end analysis.
- Manages the student caller payroll process.
- Provides feedback to the Director of Alumni Relations and Vice President of Institutional Advancement Manages Reunion Classes
- Identifies and recruits Class Agents for those classes celebrating their Reunions.
- Communicates frequently with Class Agents and provide support and guidance for the fundraising effort
- Assists Class Agents establish goals and manage the fundraising efforts for the Reunion classes
5. Develops an e-marketing plan that will consist of anniversary gift reminders and birthday messages
6. Coordinates the faculty/staff giving campaign
7. Researches and implements best practices to increasing the number of alumni giving taking into consideration special and affinity groups i.e. young alumni and academic majors.
8. Works with affinity and special groups on fundraising and special initiatives as necessary.
9. Fosters relationships with student by creating a network of Xavierites that are interested in promoting the University and becoming active alum upon graduation.
10. Develops and implements a campus wide student giving program.
11. Works with the senior graduating class to implement a successful senior class gift campaign.
12. Assists the Director of Alumni Relations with the coordination of alumni activity programs including but not limited to Homecoming, alumni chapter events, and special fundraising events.
13. Provides the Director of Alumni Relations with regular reports.
14. Remains personally informed on University matters that are pertinent to donors, fundraising, alumni and to the operation of the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Fund.
15. Participates in division-wide and university-wide committees and project teams to advance priority projects of the University such as staff searches.
16. Ensures all donors receive a positive and personally satisfying donor experience.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
