Annual Gift Director - Healthcare plans and implements the healthcare organization's campaign for monetary aid in annual gifts from corporations, outside agencies, and other donors. Assigns specific charitable donation campaigns to Annual Gift Coordinators. Being an Annual Gift Director - Healthcare is responsible for attracting and retaining prospective donors, monitoring programs, and analyzing past donations. Oversees annual giving revenue and expense goals and evaluates the effectiveness of a variety of solicitation programs. Additionally, Annual Gift Director - Healthcare requires a bachelor's degree.     PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:

    The position of Culinary Director provides leadership to the culinary staff to assure that care standards are met. The position must function as a team member, team leader, and supervisor to ensure that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered, while supporting team members and leading the way in celebrating team successes. While focusing on delivering quality care, the position must also manage the resources within their control and assist others in managing resources.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
    • Previous cook experience in a healthcare environment.
    • 2 - 4 years management experience preferred, but we are willing to train and develop the right candidate.
    • Certified Dietary Manager required. We can help the right candidate navigate certification process upon hire.
    • ServSafe certification preferred. We can help the right candidate obtain certification upon hire.
    • Prior experience utilizing computers, preferably for Nutritional Care software applications.

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct the team functions of the culinary activities in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
    • Make sure that sufficient culinary staffing levels are met to ensure delivery of quality resident care.
    • Supervise in orientation and training of new employees and participate in their ongoing training.
    • Implement menus and recipes and maintain standards of culinary methodology and practices.
    • Develop and communicate shift assignments for culinary staff and monitor job performance.
    • Maintain quality food services by hands-on management, which includes cooking, tasting, seasoning, and serving food.
    • Communicate with ancillary departments and culinary staff at shift change on resident conditions, needs, and concerns.
    • Ensure that the culinary staff follows the established departmental policies and procedures.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operational aspects of culinary department.
    • Manage the resources available in the role of culinary director while ensuring that needed resources are available and that quality care is delivered to all residents.
    • Provide professional culinary services to all residents.
    • Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
    • Participate in and provide scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain licensure of self and certification of team and enhance quality of care.
    • Provide leadership to the staff.
