Annual Gift Director - Healthcare plans and implements the healthcare organization's campaign for monetary aid in annual gifts from corporations, outside agencies, and other donors. Assigns specific charitable donation campaigns to Annual Gift Coordinators. Being an Annual Gift Director - Healthcare is responsible for attracting and retaining prospective donors, monitoring programs, and analyzing past donations. Oversees annual giving revenue and expense goals and evaluates the effectiveness of a variety of solicitation programs. Additionally, Annual Gift Director - Healthcare requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Annual Gift Director - Healthcare manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     Assignments may rotate depending on the agency requirements and specialty training. Incumbents are responsible for the medical quality assurance and medical management of one or more clinical programs or medical groups in addition to medical and technical advice to staff.

    DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Serve as Medical Director of clinical programs engaged in psychiatric care.
    • Provide medical supervision and administrative direction to subordinate medical, healthcare, and support staff.
    • Develop protocols and standardized procedures.
    • Conduct medical and physical examinations or psychiatric evaluations.
    • Make diagnosis and prescribe medical and rehabilitative treatment.
    • Supervise and direct the medical aspects of treatments.
    • Provide treatment authorizations via the telephone.
    • Prescribe medications.
    • Provide medical supervision to mid-level practitioners.
    • Act as a physician member of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Converse with staff and patients as well as their family members regarding diagnosis and treatment.
    • Recommend level of care and treatment methods.
    • Provides clinic assessments and crisis interventions for psychiatric emergencies.
    • Conduct in-service training.
    • Provide crisis management services as needed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Thorough knowledge of:
    • Current principles and practices of medicine.
    • Current principles and practices of psychiatric care.
    • Working Knowledge of:
    • Principles of Personnel Supervision, evaluation, and training.
    • Program management and program direction.
    • Productivity management.
    • Customer Service Delivery.
    • Some Knowledge of:
    • General functions of the Statement Department of Health Services and Department of Mental Health.
    • Principles of health administration.
    • Clinical Information Systems.
    • Ability to:
    • Provide medical and administrative direction to subordinate professional, technical, and clerical staff.
    • Perform medical diagnosis and treatment.
    • Evaluate and review the work of subordinate or other medical providers for appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and chart documentation.
    • Plan and prepare protocols and standardized procedures.
    • Work effectively with departmental staff, private physicians, clients, and others contracted in the course of work.
    • Participatie in analysis, evaluation, and planning of health or mental health programs.
    • Prepare clear and concise written and oral reports.
    • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
    • Conduct in-service training programs.
    • Use standard computer systems.
    • Review appropriate paperwork for documentation of services provided medically.

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Four years of experience as a practicing psychiatrist.
    • Two years residential experience for mental health.

    REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

    • RN, PA, and/or NP required
    • Valid California’s Driver’s License
    • Current First Aid/CPR certification
    • Valid Medical license
    • If applicable, DEA license
