Annual Gift Director - Healthcare plans and implements the healthcare organization's campaign for monetary aid in annual gifts from corporations, outside agencies, and other donors. Assigns specific charitable donation campaigns to Annual Gift Coordinators. Being an Annual Gift Director - Healthcare is responsible for attracting and retaining prospective donors, monitoring programs, and analyzing past donations. Oversees annual giving revenue and expense goals and evaluates the effectiveness of a variety of solicitation programs. Additionally, Annual Gift Director - Healthcare requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Annual Gift Director - Healthcare manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Annual Gift Director - Healthcare typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary:
    This position supports the daily operation of the Umpqua Lighthouse gift store, primarily by performing retail sales.

    Essential Functions: 
    This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job.  
    • Provide customer service to Lighthouse gift shop visitors. 
    • Perform sales of merchandise. 
    • Stock merchandise.
    • Assist with general upkeep of gift shop.  
    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 
    This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. 
    Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required, will be considered. however, the following is preferred: 
    • High school graduation or equivalency supplemented with experience in customer service and working in an office setting 
    Desirable qualifications: Experience working in a retail setting and processing cash/credit/debit sales.

    Required:
    • Regular and consistent attendance  
    In addition, applications will receive further evaluation based on reasonable knowledge of general retail practices and procedures; keyboarding; and basic math skills. Skill in: typing accurately at a speed required by the position; operating basic office equipment, including but not limited to operation of a multi-line telephone; reiterating information verbally. Ability toorganize, file and retrieve materials and documents; add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, common fractions and decimals; communicate effectively in both oral and written form, manage time efficiently while exercising initiative and judgment in completing tasks and responsibilities; understand and follow directions, demonstrate attention to detail, solve practical problems, maintain records and/or reports; maintain confidentiality; work independently or as part of a team; and courteously meet and deal effectively with other employees and the public. 
    Work is performed in a retail environment. Work is generally sedentary; however, requires bending, speaking, hearing voice conversation, keyboarding, kneeling, working with hand-held devices, lifting materials up to 30 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing or sitting for long periods of time, viewing computer monitor screens, and walking up and downstairs. 

    Background Investigation:  While not part of initial applicant screening, the finalist for this position may be required to pass a criminal history background check as part of a contingent offer of employment.  Conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from employment.
