Job purpose
The Accountant - Gift and Endowment Compliance supports the Foundation in fulfilling its responsibilities for gift and endowment compliance by ensuring gift and endowment funds are expended in accordance with donor intent and that administrative obligations of the gift agreement are met; assists University and UofL Health Foundation departments on matters related to gift and endowment compliance such as interpretation of donor intent and gift repurposing process; and participates in formulation of and monitors adherence to gift and endowment policies. This position also uploads and maintains data in Fundriver (gift and endowment management software), supports external users, prepares monthly reports, and assists with spending policy calculation, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and UPMIFA.

Maintenance and Support of Foundation’s gift and endowment management software, Fundriver
Additional Duties
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from an accredited institution or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Three years or more of relevant experience in one of the following or closely related fields: gift and endowment accounting and management, audit and compliance, or higher education. The position will be filled at a level and salary commiserate with the applicant's qualifications and experience.
