    Title: Maintenance Technician

    FLSA Designation: Exempt

    Reports To: Supervisor

    Position Overview

    Hands-on position as a technical expert and problem solver. The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include providing technical skills in a production environment. This position is responsible for maintaining a professional attitude toward other employees while recognizing the responsibility to maintain all facilities and equipment.

    Ideal candidates will have worked in a manufacturing environment in the past with a mechanical background. Must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic failures in equipment. Pic The Gift is a manufacturer of customized gifts, utilizing sublimation printing to decorate onto a variety of goods.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responds to all facility work orders originating from building and equipment supervisors, using established processes.
    • Schedules and performs standard preventive maintenance on all building systems, roofs, safety and monitoring systems, and equipment.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize workflow to meet deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Maintain the equipment and supplies necessary for departmental uses
    • Work collaboratively with other department leaders, actively participate in management meetings, and make recommendations for team or process changes to meet company goals and objectives.
    • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required. College Degree or transferable experience and college coursework is preferred
    • Character traits include integrity, kindness, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Equipment ranges from heat tunnels, conveyor systems, shipping lines, heat presses, and supporting lifts and hoists.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
    • General knowledge of electrical schematics, troubleshooting.
    • General knowledge of general mechanical equipment including hydraulics, air compressors, conveyor systems, etc.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
    • The ability to understand and adjust resources to meet the highs and lows of business demands.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
