Director, Leadership Annual Giving.

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a talented, mission-driven Director of Leadership Annual Giving to attract and develop top fundraising talent and inspire new and existing donors to maximize their relationship with and philanthropic impact on Notre Dame.

You will be responsible for leading a growing team of six Leadership Annual Giving Fundraisers that develop and execute identification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies that will lead to more than $20 million in unrestricted and giving society giving to the University.
In this role, you will:
- Establish clear strategies, action plans, key performance indicators, and goals for the team to aggressively grow unrestricted giving to Notre Dame.
- Attract and develop top fundraising talent.
- Build relationships with, cultivate, and solicit a portfolio of benefactors.
- Create a comprehensive onboarding and training program for all Leadership Annual Giving fundraisers.
- Strengthen collaboration between the Annual Giving team and the Department of Development.
- Plan and lead the execution of Annual Giving's strategy.
- Forecast growth and deliver on metrics set forth by University leadership for unrestricted fundraising.
- The Director will collaborate with the Senior Director, Annual Giving and other Directors on the Annual Giving team to ensure deployed strategies lead to a mutually beneficial relationship between the University and its benefactors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of relevant professional experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Ability to attract, recruit and retain outstanding talent.
- A strategic and bold thinker that can work in a fast-paced and changing environment while always pursuing higher levels of excellence.
- Ability to collaborate, influence and command the respect and confidence of senior colleagues in the Offices of Development, Finance, Human Resources, Alumni Association, and the University at large.
- Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Experience creating marketing or sales campaigns using best practices to hit targeted goals.
- Previous experience leading a team is a plus.
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills. Faces problems head-on and takes an analytical approach to timely resolution.
- Ability to manage through conflict.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
