Summary of Job Purpose and Function:

Brenntag, a global market leader in chemical and ingredient distribution is looking for an experienced Customer Service Supervisor for our Lubricant Specialties division in the Houston area. As one of the largest distributors for ExxonMobil Lubricants, this position will supervisor a team of Customer Service Representatives to deliver exceptional customer service to our customers in the automotive, commercial and industrial markets.  

This position is in Houston, TX and will provide support to the Customer Service team. This position will supervise the day-to-day activities of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).  This position must have excellent supervisory skills, be able to effectively problem-solve, and be the liaison between our customers and internal departments.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Provide daily direction to Customer Solutions team so that inquiries are answered in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
• Drive departmental initiatives in support of strategic directives with commitment to Brenntag Service Excellence Initiative.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to monitor departmental metrics.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify issues, gaps, and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Participate in interviewing, development, training, and mentoring customer solutions specialists.
• Partner with the sales team to promote a customer focused service environment.
• Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures and suggest methods to improve efficiency and service level to both internal and external customers.
• Facilitate customer inquiries, escalations, and complaints within the organization.  Proactively utilize strong problem-solving skills to drive issue resolutions to ensure customer needs are met.
• Routinely review and research open orders to ensure delivery expectations are being met.
• Support Customer Service Manager and colleagues with other duties, assignments and projects as needed.
