Job Summary:
The Director of Housing Services plans, directs, monitors, and reviews the activities and operations of the Housing Services Department to ensure goals and outcomes are accomplished. The Director of Housing Services will collaborate with a team of professionals to provide safe and stable housing solutions for individuals and families in need.
Job Responsibilities: :
- Develops, plans, and implements the department’s strategic plan, organization structure, goals and objectives. Recommends and administers associated policies and procedures
- Directs, oversees, and participates in the development of the department’s work plans, assigns work activities, projects, and programs
- Monitors program implementation and workflow to ensure compliance with Agency and its funding sources, policies, and procedures
- Develops cooperative relationships with agencies, including but not limited to schools, neighborhood groups, landlords, and other human service organizations to provide additional or ancillary services for clients
- Selects, trains, motivates, evaluates, and coaches staff
- Creates a workplace that promotes the organizational values of workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion and actively promotes an environment respectful of living and working in a multicultural society
- Seeks funding and/or fundraising opportunities to supplement funding
- Participates in a variety of workgroups, policy/advocacy and planning groups, conferences, and meetings as requested
- Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Standard office environment. Requires ability to operate telephone and personal computer for extended periods of time. Occasional travel.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of management experience in housing, emergency rental, housing placement, and housing repair
- 3-5 years supervisory or program management experience in a community-oriented, workforce development profession preferred
- 3-5 years ‘experience working with community advocates and volunteers
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Ability to organize, coordinate projects, and meet deadlines with a minimal amount of direction
- Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
- Strong research and analytical skills and knowledge of outcomes
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and/or reliable transportation
- Must comply with agency’s insurance carrier standards and policy
Pay Range: $80,000 / year
