    Role Summary

    Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Client Relations. The Business Developer will play an instrumental role in the connection between Outdoor Pride and our prospective clients through prospecting, listening, and building trust-based relationships. As a sales “Hunter” your role will include helping Outdoor Pride reach team goals by selling to defined market segments using your sales skills and best practices. This position requires patience and persistence through a long sales cycle. The Business Developer will work closely with branch team to estimate, price and access needs that translate into accurate bids and proposals.      Responsibilities

    • Learn about the services, values, and culture of Outdoor Pride Landscape and Snow Management 
    • Connect, contact, and engage new potential clients and prospects through in-person visits, canvassing, cold calling and networking. 
    • Plan daily and hit specific activity benchmarks to close business to meet and exceed goals. 
    • Understand the value and benefit of going deeper and broader with existing relationships. 
    • Arrange and participate in internal and external quality control debriefs. 
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision makers, discovering their pain points, and developing value-based solutions that result in new business. 
    • Execute outbound prospecting techniques and qualifying leads at a pace and quality to consistently hit and exceed monthly goals. • Work well with operations team members, leveraging their expertise with yours. 
    • Build relationships with commercial management professionals throughout the region. 
    • Track all activity in CRM module of company software ASPIRE. 
    • Develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. 
    • Catalog the market to identify prospective targets that fit Outdoor Pride strategic lists
    • Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target market. 
    • Accurately report sales activity on a weekly basis. 

    Requirements 

    • 3-5 years proven B2B relationship-based sales experience. 
    • Successful candidate must have excellent people and relationship building skills, be able to solve problems creatively, have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
    • Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a longer sales cycle environment. 
    • A passion for service excellence and a recognition of quality workmanship. 
    • Extensive face-to-face selling experience and managing multiple projects in a large territory. 
    • Basic Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). 
    • Knowledge (or willingness to develop) of ASPIRE Software. 
    • Working experience with social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter). 
    • Prior experience in a property management field is a bonus. 
    • Must have strategic and analytical skills and the ability to “think outside the box”. 
    • Must be highly motivated with excellent time management skills.
