Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Land is responsible for the execution of the strategic objectives of the organization’s finished lot program. This includes developing and mentoring the Regional Land Departments in their efforts to acquire and prepare the required amount of finished lots to meet their three year regional business plan.  This includes communities, scattered lots and OYL (on your land). 

Essential Functions:?

• Manage the Berks Homes Land Core Process documentation and system workflow – the philosophical land acquisition and development strategy unique to the organization that also lays out how to execute the business plan
• Work closely with Regional Land departments to achieve strategic land goals through training and mentoring regional counterparts on how to execute the plans

• Assist with onboarding of new supplier and trade partners for Land

• Assist Regional Land departments to ensure developers are delivering finished lots per plan and agreement of sale
• Oversee handoff process between land and vertical construction
• Develops monitoring tools to measure success of Land acquisition process
• Develops and maintains cost-effective methods of acquiring and turning over finished lots to Regional vertical construction teams
• Communicate company’s quality and performance standards to Regional Land departments and develop metrics to ensure adherence to each.
