Annuities Director (New Business) directs the development of new accounts and business relationships through sales, marketing, and referrals. Reviews applications and contracts and ensures that all transactions comply with state and federal regulations. Being an Annuities Director (New Business) stays abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which affect the activities of the business. Responsible for staffing and training of unit and ensures staff has full knowledge of all current regulations and provides prompt and efficient service to customers. Additionally, Annuities Director (New Business) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Annuities Director (New Business) manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Job Summary

    Accountable for execution of customer requested work essential to meeting key performance indicators through research of facilities, applying design standards, pricing, and invoicing, contracting and order management. Capable of providing technical solutions and process in sights that facilitate efficient installations for both the customer and the company. Anticipates challenges and collaborates with stakeholders to meet customer in service request. Provides exceptional customer experience that encourages repeat business with the company. May include field work related to design of customer requested work.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Accurately designs and order management of customer requested gas and electric services, upgrades, relocates and other New Business cases, utilizing effective techniques for planning and tracking.
    • Assesses customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions. Encourage conversion from alternate fuels to natural gas.
    • Analyze projects parameters and determine factors for contract preparation.
    • Calculate commercial hourly demand, annual fuel utilization.
    • Determine contract parameters in a manner that satisfies customer and complies with regulatory policies.
    • Provide an exceptional level of customer service in person, via telephone and electronic communication.
    • Review CAD drawings, prepare permits, easements, other miscellaneous documents for the design of gas and electric New Business cases.
    • Manage customer requirements from the initial needs through to the final delivery of gas and electric utilities.
    • Help provide solutions that effectively meet the needs of the customer and Company while complying with all applicable standards.
    • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the new business team.
    • Develops positive working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders through both direct and indirect communications.
    • Assist in the restoration efforts of customer power outages.
    • Meets or exceeds established goals.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Travel may be required.

    Required Qualifications for Position

    • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Basic knowledge of energy products, services, end-use applications
    • Strong computing skills including but not limited to the Microsoft family of software.
    • Exercises independent judgment and initiates solutions.
    • Ability to work collaboratively to accomplish business goals.
    • Excellent problem solving & decision-making skills.
    • Ability to meet pressured deadlines within time constraints.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications for Position

    • Prior utility experience
    • Ability to read/interpret construction prints, understand and apply basic surveying principles.
