Member Services Assistant

Organization Description:

The mission of the Policemen's Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago (the Fund) is to provide retirement, survivors and disability benefits to the sworn police members of the Chicago Police Department, their spouses and children, where applicable. Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Fund is seeking a Member Services Assistant who will work closely with various Fund departments and will be responsible for a broad range of customer service, data entry, verification, administrative and research functions at the Fund.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

Customer Service

· Greet members and the public as they enter the Fund office and assess their needs

· Answer telephone calls and transfer callers to the appropriate staff member

Data Entry

· Populate databases and spreadsheets

· Populate fields in imaging software

Verification

· Perform quality control reviews of various departments

· Verify member service records and other data

· Validate signatures on member forms

Administrative

· Scan, index and organize various files and documents

· Prepare mailings

· Perform various customer service activities

Research

· General information and contacts as needed

· Member contact information

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Candidate should possess the following skills and/or experience:

·Education

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience. The Fund will consider applicants currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.

Additional Information:

This position requires a full-time presence at the Fund's offices in downtown Chicago. Office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday. Flextime, telecommuting, and/or alternative work locations or schedules are not available. This full-time position includes a generous benefit package. Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
