    Title: Voices for Children/ CASA Coordinator

    Reports to: Executive Director / CASA Director

    0. 86 FTE (30 hours/week)

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The CASA Coordinator at ACCORD, A Center for Dispute Resolution, Inc. works with the Program Director to develop, plan, and execute the functions of the assigned program. The CASA Coordinator will provide support to enhance the management of the CASA Program. The CASA Coordinator will have aid in the completion of all contractual responsibilities for any grant that supports the CASA program.

    Program Duties:

    · Assist in the recruiting and training of new volunteers pursuant to contract terms.

    · Assist in the ongoing support of volunteers and staff.

    · Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as scheduled.

    · Maintain ongoing interagency communication to assure positive relationships and resolve problems.

    · Represent ACCORD in a professional manner in all community interactions, including inter-agency contacts, public presentations, fund raising, workshops, as well as volunteer and volunteer mediator contact.

    · Assist in seeking potential funding sources and grant preparation.

    · Carry out program operation congruent with agency policies and procedures and any special contractual obligations.

    · Attend and assist in training related to the CASA program and program development.

    · Participate in the design and implementation of program goals and priorities.

    · Actively participate in, and assure successful completion of, the agency’s strategic plan.

    Voices for Children / CASA Coordinator Responsibilities:

    · In conjunction with contract agencies, use all available resources, to lead, manage, and coordinate ongoing support of CASA volunteers.

    · Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as requested and agreed upon by the Supervisor and the Program Director.

    · Act as liaison to any collaborating agencies that support the CASA program. Maintain ongoing communication to assure positive relationships and resolve problems, as requested by the program director.

    · Attend and assist in CASA initial training and ongoing monthly training.

    · Engage in ongoing professional development activities, to include but not be limited to trainings relative to the CASA Program as requested by the Program Director.

    · Assist in the development of policies and procedures that will assure appropriate case activity and compliance with National CASA standards.

    · Assist in recruiting CASA Volunteers.

    · CASA Volunteer Supervisory Activities

    - Assist the Program Director to support and maintain a cadre of CASA volunteers.

    - Monitor CASA volunteer and client contacts.

    - Monitor CASA Court case scheduling.

    - Edit CASA reports and then give to Program Director for submission to the court.

    - Assist CASA volunteers with their relationships and interactions with outside agencies and the court.

    - Evaluate each CASA volunteer annually on the designated evaluation form.

    - Maintain monthly records on each CASA supervised.

    - Assist in grant preparation as requested by the Program Director.

    - Attend court appearances in the absence of the assigned advocate, to assure accurate reporting of all necessary information to the court.

    - Attend monthly child visits in the absence of the assigned advocate in order to support the child(ren) and family CASA is assigned.

    · Maintain positive relationships with Family Court judges and personnel as requested by the Program Director.

    Other Duties:

    · Work with Executive Director and Program Director to develop, implement, and maintain the agency’s strategic goals.

    · Develop and maintain positive supervisory and co-worker relationships including clear and accurate written and oral communication necessary for agency operation.

    · Keep all information shared by clients and volunteers confidential and private.

    · Assist in the preparation and distribution of press releases and develop other publicity material including newsletter articles, as appropriate.

    · Actively participate in fundraisers, special events, public relations activities, and special mailings.

    · Attend and actively participate in staff meetings as scheduled.

    · Engage in ongoing professional development activities.

    · Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    · High School Diploma or GED.

    · Experience working in a human service field, in volunteer management, or in clerical skills.

    · Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with other agencies, individuals, and coworkers.

    · Knowledge and experience with computers including software programs such, as Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook programs required. Knowledge in video conferencing platforms such as GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams and Zoom strongly preferred.

    · Ability to develop and maintain strong team relationships.

    Physical Demands:

    · Requires visual ability for frequent use of computer monitor, and manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard.

    · Requires travel in personal vehicle (mileage is reimbursed).

    · Must be able to approach a wide range and variety of constituents (children, families, judges, attorneys, caseworkers etc.) with reflective communication skills and social receptiveness.

    · Must be able to speak and write clearly in order to communicate with external callers, assist in completion of professional reports and compilation of case information.

    · Must manage multiple deadlines.

    · Required to concentrate on multiple tasks despite frequent interruptions.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $20.00 per hour
