Loan Resolution Specialists with Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union, assist the Department in the controlling of delinquent loan accounts and collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.

    The Ideal candidate would be a team player who has good people skills, is professional, customer service and goal oriented, and eager to learn about the Credit Union and the members they serve. Diamond Valley offers training and development opportunities and focuses on promoting from within when feasible. Experience working with the public is extremely important. Experience working in Collections is strongly preferred. Rate of pay will be commensurate with level of experience.

    The Loan Resolution Specialist will contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail, analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and take appropriate action to bring accounts current, make recommendations when arrangements to bring accounts current are unsuccessful, answer incoming phone calls and assist members and assist with administrative and clerical duties within the credit union.

    The Loan Resolution Department will call on members Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – noon (rotating schedule).

    Preferred Requirements:

    • 1 to 3 years Collection experience in a credit union environment or related experience needed.
    • Minimum 1 year Call Center or related experience, preferred
    • Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices (FDCPA), preferred but not required
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task
    • Time management and prioritization skills
    • PC and software familiarity, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite for word processing and spreadsheets
    • High school education or equivalent
